How do you set the ISO on a film camera?
I have a zenit b, an old Vintage Russian camera, and it doesn’t have a way to set the ISO manually. So i was wondering if there was any certain aperture and shutter combinations i could use to set the ISO.
You see i purchased lomography red scale xr film, and in order to get certain effects you have to set your ISO differently. I want to set my ISO to around 50 or 100, how do i do this?!
If your old camera does not have a light meter, you will not need to “set” the ISO except to remind you what film you have in the camera. Usually the external light meter you are using to determine proper exposures will have the correct ISO/ASA set, so that can help remind you what ISO film you are using.
If there is a light meter on your camera, the ISO/ASA is usually set somewhere near the shutter speed adjustment dial.
In the case of the Zenit B, it is located on the rewind knob.
